Bill Ragans

Bio

Coach Bill Ragans enters his 32nd season of coaching football, 4 years of college and 28 years of high school. A native of Live Oak, Florida, Bill was a three sport athlete, and in the Suwannee High School Sports Hall of Fame, playing football, basketball, and baseball, before graduating in 1986.

Following high school, he accepted a football scholarship at Florida State University where he was a four year letterman, and a two year starter, serving as defensive captain his senior year. He signed as a free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 1991 and played in three pre-season games before being released following an injury. He played one full season in the World League of American Football with the Frankfurt Galaxy in the spring of 1992 before injuries ended his playing career.

Bill is married 31 years to the former Stephanie Kay George of Ft. Myers. They have two children, William Cecil Ragans III “Tripp” - 23 and Bailey Kay Ragans – 22.
